What are fat dissolving injections (DesoFace and Desobody)?

DesoFace/DesoBody fat dissolving injections, also known as lipolytic injections, destroy fat cells by damaging the fat cell membrane and liquefying the fat in the treatment area. The destroyed fat cells are then broken down and removed naturally through the body’s lymphatic system.
DesoFace/DesoBody is the newest body fat dissolving injection formula on the market to date. It contains the active ingredient sodium deoxycholate (deoxycholic acid) which is a special, FDA- approved, medical detergent to break down fat cells.

Who would benefit from DesoFace/DesoBody?

Ideal for people who are of a moderate weight, follow healthy lifestyles but cannot shift the stubborn pockets of fat. It is not an alternative to weight loss.

What areas can be treated?

DesoFace is used on the face i.e. double chin.

DesoBody is used on the body i.e. love handles, bra rolls, muffin top, saddle bags, inner thighs, inner knees, underarms (“bingo wings”).

Are results immediate?

Results usually take about 4-6 weeks to see. Most patients need 2-4 sessions to see the final effect. Results can be permanent if a healthy lifestyle is followed during and after treatments.

How long will the treatment take ?

Treatment requires the use of a thin cannula (non-sharp needle), which is placed under the skin through a single insertion point. This means that we can evenly deliver the active ingredient in a fan-like pattern across the whole area where we want to dissolve the fat cells. The amount of DesoFace/Desobody needed will depend on the size of the area(s) being treated. Each session will take around 45 minutes.

Swelling, bruising, redness and sensitivity to the area are all common.
Pain is generally mild in nature but can last for around a week. Local anaesthetic is also mixed with the product.
For best results, two to three treatments may be needed, one month apart. It can take 4-6 weeks to notice the effects.
